Matthew G. Pruden joined Tin Fulton Walker & Owen in 2005. Since then, he has been defending clients in state and federal courts across North Carolina. Matt’s practice covers the full spectrum of criminal matters, including drug trafficking and conspiracy cases in federal court, and homicide and sex offenses in state court.
Matt prides himself on effectively representing people from all walks of life. In recent years he has represented a physician who was never charged after a lengthy Medicare fraud investigation, successfully defended public school employees against a variety of criminal charges, and obtained a plea offer to a probationary sentence for a client charged with murder in a rural county.
Matt has been selected by his peers to be included in Super Lawyers and has been awarded an AV® Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest possible rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
Born and raised in Charlotte, Matthew G. Pruden attended law school at Wake Forest University School of Law before returning to Charlotte to practice law.
